GlobalThink conducted a summer camp for 8-12 year olds. It was a week-long camp and the children learned about other cultures through music, art, discussion, and debate.
There was a geographic and cultural focus on West Africa (Mali, Ghana) and a topical focus on water scarcity and our relationship with water around the world.
The kids were evaluated at the beginning and end of the camp. They said they were much more curious than before the camp about other cultures and environmental issues and reported being “excited about making changes that will make the world a better place.” All in all, the camp was a success!
